Fortuna Dusseldorf is saying goodbye to Cedric Itten, who is leaving the club after one year. Itten was one of the top players for Fortuna with 15 goals and had made a lasting impression on the fans. The Swiss striker has bid an emotional farewell to the fans in Dusseldorf. Itten was one of the few professionals at Fortuna Dusseldorf who could not be blamed for the relegation to the 3rd league. Accordingly, there is no future for the Swiss player at F95. Other players like his teammates do not have the same passion and atmosphere in the stadium as Itten. The striker could not do it alone, however. The Rot-Weißen noticed this especially on the last match day in Fürth, when the Swiss player had to watch from the tribune due to a yellow card suspension. The Fortuna did not manage to score the golden goal for relegation or at least the relegation playoffs. Itten wrote on Instagram: „Dear Fortuna fans: My time at Fortuna Dusseldorf is coming to an end. From the first day on, I was incredibly warmly received by the fans, my teammates, and all the people in the club. I am very grateful for that! The support, the passion, and the atmosphere in the stadium were something very special. I will never forget these shared moments!“
